Ready, start!

2013
Wow. 2012 was an exceptional year and I’ve been very fortunate with all I’ve been able to do in it. I’ve had some exciting opportunities to work with clients I’ve long admired on projects I’ve dreamed about. I’ve made some really incredible friendships and met all sorts of amazing people and artists, including a few of my heroes. I’ve made lots of new work and am still learning more and more about painting and drawing. Overall this year was stellar. Lots of late nights and stress. Lots of good days and bad. Lots of remembering and looking forward. It’s all a blur of working hard, having fun and loving what I do.

This next year, I have lots of new goals including posting to this blog a bit more. I’d like to start writing posts about working as an artist, other artists and their work, places, musings and all sorts of other things. I really want to make it more “readable”. Hopefully I can accomplish that goal and make something useful and fun to read with your tea or coffee in the morning.

In honor of 2013 (and also just because it’s fun) I’ve made a calendar, featuring some of my “Tea & Creatures” scribbles from the past few months. I’m also releasing the digital versions of each month on the first (of their month) this year. You can find January here.  You can purchase and find out more about the calendar in my store. I hope that this calendar is not only pleasing to look at but is also useful!

I am so excited to see what 2013 will bring! I’m looking forward to sharing new work and moving forward with new projects right away. Let do this!! :)

Was directed here from Illustration Age. Inspired work! I’m happy that 2012 was such a success for you and hope the same for 2013. Enjoyed your Etsy shop, and love the calendar!
